About these terms

These terms of use ("the terms") set out the rules for using Jigsaw Lounge - the website puzzlelounge.app/jigsaw/ and its phone app ("the service") - provided by Jigsaw Lounge Operations ("we"). By using the service, you agree to the terms.

The service

The service is a jigsaw puzzle you can play alone or with friends and a stream's viewers. The basic features are free. Some pictures and features are available in the paid version.

Names

Your name and your tray names are shown to other players. Please do not use names that:

• hurt or upset other people
• pretend to be another person or organisation
• contain personal information, such as your own or someone else's real name or contact details

We may change or hide unsuitable names, and remove ranking records under them.

What is not allowed

The following are not allowed in the service:

• anything against the law or public order and morals
• operating the service with tools or programs, or putting false records on the rankings
• putting excessive load on the servers, or exploiting weaknesses in the service
• harassing other players or getting in the way of their play
• infringing other people's rights, such as copyright, portrait rights or privacy
• extracting or distributing the service's programs or images without permission
• anything else we judge to be inappropriate

Streaming and videos

You are free to stream your play or publish videos of it, and to monetise them. There is no need to ask us.

Your own pictures

When you make a puzzle from your own picture, use only pictures you have the right to use. They are stored only on your device and are not visible to other players.

The paid version

The paid version is sold through stores such as Google Play. Purchases and refunds follow each store's terms. Except where the law requires it, we cannot give refunds ourselves.

Rights

The rights in the service's programs, design, original illustrations and so on belong to us or to their rights holders. This does not apply to the paintings whose copyright has expired (public domain works). The source of each work is listed on the picture list pages.

Restricting use

If you break these terms, or seem likely to, we may remove you from a room, delete your ranking records or suspend your use of the service, without notice.

Changing or ending the service

We may change, pause or end the service. If we end it, we will announce it in advance as far as we can.

Liability

We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults or suit any particular purpose.

If you clear your browser's or the app's data, unfinished tables, your own pictures and the like cannot be recovered.

We are not liable for damage arising from use of the service, except where it is caused by our intent or gross negligence. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months up to the month the damage occurred. This limit does not apply where laws such as the Consumer Contract Act do not allow it.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when needed. Before a change takes effect, we will announce the new terms and the date they apply from, in the service or on this page. If you use the service after the change, you agree to the new terms.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute about the service will be heard first, exclusively, by the district court with jurisdiction over our place of business.
